of New Hall
This is the family home of
the Robertson's, we eventually settled here after the return from
our adventures at sea. At first things were very hard for us, we had
returned to Britain with nothing, except a small amount of furniture left
in storage when we set off on our voyage on board the "Lucette"
We chose this place because just five minutes walk away was the cottage
Lyn's grandmother had lived in. As a child Lyn
spent many summers in this village with her "granny" and the
memory of those wonderful times and the fact that the Poyser family
could be traced back to the 1500's in this area gave the family a new
sense of belonging to the land. Eighteen grandchildren have spent their
formative years in and around these walls and meadows, under the watchful
loving eyes of their grandma
